People who want to work online will find plenty of jobs available. It’s all a matter of looking. But why choose that route in the first place? It can be preferable for many, especially stay-at-home parents since they can earn while looking after the kid. Here are a few surprising – and not so surprising – online jobs you can do while in your favorite coffee shop.
1. Internet Researcher. If you’re thinking of offering virtual assistant services, but find your talents lie in finding hard-to-track information, you may want to be a dedicated researcher instead. Companies, marketers, and even writers need to get research done – a need you can fulfill.
2. Travel Advisor. Help hospitality groups and hotels up their customer service by suggesting certain packages. Afterwards, assist people in building their dream vacations, usually including a stay at a hotel that offers those packages. You’ll need to be organized and self-oriented.
3. Guide Creator. This is self-explanatory. You create, write, and publish guides for various occasions like birthdays or holidays. This may involve collecting articles based on such events, collating recipes and putting together menus from them, and creating lists of gift ideas.
4. Illustrator. If you like drawing or painting – or both – you may well find fulfillment in this position. As a freelance illustrator, you may find yourself creating anything from children’s books images to medical diagrams, to brochures and product packaging.
5. RN Coach. RN stands for ‘registered nurse’, and no, this isn’t a hoax. Registered nurses may be hired, by insurance companies for instance, to teach patients about prevention and treatment. They help patients set objectives and provide up-to-date health information when needed.
6. Project manager. Gone are the days when this role needed someone to be physically present in the office, whether yours or your client’s. Now, you can do these from the comfort of home while still keeping tabs on the project and communicating with all those involved. Virtual project managers can work individually or for a certain company.
7. Translator. One of the advantages of outsourcing IT services is that translation is one of them, and it’s often cheaper to hire a translator outside of the company. Companies with multi-lingual clients will need your help in translating meeting minutes, phone call transcriptions, and other forms of correspondence.
